Correct format to view pictures on panasonic camera

Hello,

We want to paint our baby's room with Dr. Suess.  I have a very cheap projector that only has composite inputs.  I want to hook my camera up to this projector and display Dr. Suess images so I can trace them on the wall.

I have been unsuccessful in getting this to work.  I take a picture I download from the internet and use an image editor to get it exactly the right size of the 3M setting on my camera (2048x1536).  I copied it to the DCIM/102_PANA/P1020010.JPG and I get this...

"THIS PICTURE CANNOT BE PLAYED"

... when trying to view it.  Any ideas?

What would it be complaining about?  If it is JPEG, and the right resolution, and the right name?
