great article by a guy who has the experience to back up his points. The general take away here  is that the D800 or E variant is NOT for the average Joe or Jill shooter. I wonder how many people rushed to buy the D800 just because it had all those pixels ..or was seen as the latest and greatest???

In reading some of the posts here, its clear not a few people are way way over their heads with the D800. I can see a lot of only slightly used D800's being sold off by upset naive buyers who got nothing but blurry vignetted shots from their big pixel (& physical sized) DSLR that they tried to use as a p&s with DX kit lenses.

The D600 is still a bridge way to far for most average shooters who have no need or inclination to print anything huge..

Oh well, we all have the right to do what we wanna do ..and to make mistakes.
