Re: Best overall NEX lens for wedding (mine!) plus "hill" climb?

I just can give my experience.

For birthday and wedding, I´m using almost all the time a Canon FDn 35/2.8, and some times a Canon FDn 50/1.4 or the SEL55210 if I´m far away from the scene.

With these manual lenses, using a monopod on my C3, and a Yongnuo 560 at top of the camera, I can get good ambien light (speeds 1/30, 1/60) plus clear people images frozen by Rear Flash shot.

Usually the apperture is between 2.8 to 4 or 5.6 maximum, based on DOF and how close of the subjects I´m.

With this setup, I can shoot on ISO 400 with no problems even in no light or poor light conditions (like people dancing with colour lights).

And I have only to manual focus once for a series of pictures from the same POV. If distance to subjects don´t change, focus no need to be adjusted.

This is a fast enough operation in my experience.

And the lenses are very cheap.
