Torn between 2 lovers

I have the following Nikkor lenses:

Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8G AF-S

Nikkor 60mm 1:2.8 D AF Micro

Nikkor 18-70mm 1:3.5-4.5G ED AF-S

Nikkor 18-200mm 1.3.5-5.6 G ED DX VR 1.4-16AS-S

Nikkor 28mm 1:2.8  2.8-22

Nikkor f 55mm 2.8-32  1:3.5 micro

Nikkor 105mm 1:2.5  3.5-32

Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4 2.5-32

I just got my Nikon D800. Mostly I take pictures of my family and I do some landscaping when I travel.

I have now two Nikon lenses the 14-24 and 24-70.

24-70 is very sharp for portrait. On the Internet there are a lot of good things written about 14-24. One person mentioned that it is made by GOD. When I look through the viewfinder to take a portrait the person looks very far and I have to come very close to have some good portrait.

On the other hand I have read that I need to learn how to use the wide angle lens like 14-24.  I could not find any web page to show how.

Now my dilemma is I can't afford to keep both, and I have to send one back.

I am torn between 2 lovers.  Any help to make up my mind would be deeply appreciated.
