Re: Second quarter results and, A new interchangeable X camera?--Hi RM

Many thanks for this report and I find the information terrific in order to plan any future purchases of Fujicams in the near future.   Personally I do not think $1.3 yen will break Fujifilm anytime soon.  They just have to plan better and possibly take few risks with QC IMHO.

The imaging division of Fujifilm continues to lose money, but a bit less than last year. Even after mentioning the X-E1, Fuji states that new ILC are coming. Very interesting.

"Operating loss amounted to ¥1.3 billion, reflecting the negative impact of yen appreciation, decline in sales, and other factors.

In the electronic imaging business, Fujifilm was able to expand its market share against the backdrop of a decrease in overall demand for compact cameras, but the negative impacts of yen appreciation caused the consolidated revenue to decline. Going forward, Fujifilm is preparing to launch theFUJIFILM X-E1, an interchangeable-lens-type premium camera announced in September 2012, as well as theFUJIFILM XF1, a high-performance compact camera with a slim and stylish design, and new interchangeable lens models."
