It is easiers to make as, clearly, one doesn't have to correct the spherical distortion. They usualy have at least a stop over the wides as well.

I've been through 2 Fisheyes  (1980's Sigma 16 & the recient PK 10-17.  All are pin sharp and better than the super wides in that respect as well.

What I like is how small it looks. And really, focus ijust isn't an issue at this focal length..  But it would have been nice if it could have relayed the EXIF data to the Camera.

I might invest at that price.    Hmmm....
