Stopping down to f22 or ND Filter?
I love shooting light trails, motion blurs: clouds, water, car trails, fountains, etc. I saw some photos in flickrriver using 17mmTSE L stopped down to f22, at 9 pm to shoot downtown traffic trails to get 60 minutes exposure time. Now I know this lens won't take filters, but I am shooting with an efs 10mmZoom, I never stopped down to f22 and use the best ND filters from B&W up to 10 stops, depending on the time of day.
Now my question is, if shooting downtown at traffic, at 9 pm rush hour, at ISO 100, is it better to stop down to f22 or use a ND filter and stay at f8 or f11 to get 60 minutes exposure?
