salt dissolves best in water.... So, rinsing off in distilled water. If it is the front lens (rather than a filter that you just take off and can rinse), you probably should some some cotton swaps soaked with water, swapping out the pads several times (the reduce the salt concentration to negligable level, which, since you can't measure, is just guesswork), and then drying carefully.
