I always shoot RAW with my Nikon or Canon cameras. I have to. That's the only way I can get all the DR that's contained in the file. The PP'd RAW files are ALWAYS better than the OOC jpegs.

With the XP1 I find quite the opposite is true. I shoot with the shadow and highlight set at -1 (or even -2) and the DR on auto.  The jpegs, when 'developed' with these settings usually require a little 'punching up' in PP, but the DR is amazing and the colors are fantastic. I struggle to get as good an image from processing the RAW files. Sometimes, no matter what I try in LR or Silkypix I can't duplicate the results from the OOC jpegs.
