that's interesting because even in olympus viewer, i was getting a different result between the OOC jpg and the ORF file.

to the OP, i'm using the presets from here:

they all do things a little different depending on the image, but they are good starting places to me.

i'm not a big post-processed but i still find I need to tweek things a fair amount. if i need to, then i figure i didn't get a good shot to begin with. if i'm lucky, one of these works without much more of anything, or just slight adjustment in exposure, vibrancy, clarity and saturation is all i need.
