G1 X - Capture One Version 7 - Comparing JPEG and RAW
No, I am NOT opening a thread on RAW vs JPEG!
Raining non stop in Vancouver gives me a chance to play with the G1 X. I started with JPEG and I am quire impressed on how good these are.
When shooting RAW + JPEG, outcomes are now different. The JPEG are, at best, bland; this is expected as the RAW + JPEG sort of disable the advanced JPEG processing, as I understand it.
How would you shoot to compare RAW and JPEG, but give the JPEG engine in the G1 X a chance to shine? Has it been done in a different thread? Is it worth doing?
I usually use a 7D, which took me while to barely tame... I feel a bit awestruck by the G1 X. For example, AF seems to behave very differently from the 7D. I am getting excellent results in Auto, but quite a few disappointing results in P. I blame myself, but I am looking for some advice.
