This is a completely invalid comparison: the zoom position for the Olympus is set for 35mm AOV for a 4/3 lens (equivalent to 70mm on 135 format), while the Nikon is set for 35mm AOV for a 135-format lens (equivalent to 17.5mm on 4/3). With these settings you should get a much narrower beam spread from the Oly. You need to set the flashes to the same equivalent FL. If you prefer, you can switch the Oly to use 135-format FLs (p.31 in the manual).

Thanks for the correction, I will redo it again to make the side-by-side comparison valid.

With current comparison, even though Olympus's beam is a narrower and more focused than Nikon (70mm vs 35mm in 135mm format), the power output for Olympus is still weaker than Nikon. If I redo it agian with the same zoom, it will only accentuate Olympus weak output.
