Is nex 7 worth the high cost.

I have both the NEX7 and EM5.  Both have good and bad points.  The lens availability for the NEX7 leaves a lot to be desired.  There is no super wide angle lens available like the Panasonic 7-14.  Neither camera is perfect for focussing on a moving subject.  You will miss a lot of shots such as weddings where the subject is walking toward you.  My NEX7 has frozen a couple of times requiring removal of the battery to make it restart.  Again, a real problem if you are trying to shoot a wedding. The viewfinder on the NEX7 will blank out if used in bright sun.  Same for the LED.   For those reasons I don't think either camera can be considered a "professional" camera.  They both take some nice pictures but I look on them as vacation shooters more than anything else.  Bottom line, they don't replace SLRs but augment them nicely.
