The FOV of an usual 28mm is something about 75° wheras the fish is almost at an 180°.
Even the great 7-14 achieves only a maximum of 114°
There are worlds in between!

If you like the effect is a matter of taste. Sure.

But sometimes it's the other way round!
Ever tried to capure people with a perfectly corrected wide angle lens? A bride at the corner of the image will definitely kill you for that one.

The fish bends - the corrected WA just makes extraordinary fat.
If I have to choose, I often choose the fish in that case.
