You sure about the Jpegs looking worse ?

I downloaded  jpeg ISO 25600 images from http://www.imaging-resource.com/IMCOMP/COMPS01.HTM

and the ISO 100 images to act as a reference for detail & colour.

I resized the D800 & D600 images to match the 5DMKIII

The exposure times for the ISO 25600 images

5DMKIII 1/3200 at f8

D800 1/6400 at f8

D600 1/2500 at f11 =  1/5000 at f8

..................D800................................... 5DMKIII................................. D600
