Will do what ever it takes to see the G.C. Most "action" seems to be at the south rim. So what's at the north rim? If time to do only one rim, is "south" the rim to visit?

Hiking must be kept to a minimum, however.

I know nothing about visiting the Grand Canyon yet, but will research it shortly.

Both the North and the South Rim have great photo ops. The South Rim has the most facilities as in places for an overnight stay and food options. The South Rim also has the crowds, and I mean the crowds. The North Rim is closed in the winter months so you will have to keep an eye out for opening dates. If you are looking to avoid some of the crowds on your trip I would look into going to the North Rim, but if you don't mind bumping into a few people along the way the South Rim is a wonderful place to go.
