I'd certainly expect a significant advantage to the D600 as ISO increased. Picking between the two cameras has been a real dilemma; I'd almost suggest that if a 24Mp D800 body existed at exactly the same price as the 36Mp, I'd choose the 24Mp for most purposes. It's a great sensor.
