Yes. But it will not be centered under the lens.

There's a RSS cable relief spacer made for this, though I've only seen it used on a DSLR.  Not sure if it's deep enough to accommodate the long plug on the Oly.

I've gone back to using a QR plate/clamp, for the sake of panoramics (panning clamp and rail).   With proper but not undue care on a secure tripod the 2s timer with a WA lens works out just fine (tack sharp).  I use the cord often enough (just because one should) when in landscape orientation, but don't bother with the portrait position sweeps any more.
