Thus, it is not just code, it is time invested or waisted depending on how you have done it.

I prefer to set my camera to AWB and do WB correction in PP for those images that I intend to keep.

Although I carry an Xrite ColorChecker card in my bag, I don't want be using it all day long as the temperature of color changes. One minute if full sun, the next partially cloudy and the next it may be a shady area. And the morning sun has a different color than at noon or in the evening. And at times, even rarely, a color cast may have a pleasant effect.

However, the colorchecker card is usefull when I know that I'll be doing several shots in the same lighting condition.
