a57 - HATE what Sony omitted!

For the most part, I love the camera.  But I really hate that Sony omitted the very basic option to set the upper limit in Auto ISO (I stress "very basic" because even point-n-shoots have the ability to do this). The ISO rockets to 3200 way to easily and in low light, at least for what I shoot, 3200 stinks.  This is my opinion for my shooting style... so please don't tell me how wonderful high ISO shots are coming out for you.  I'm happy for you.

Here's an example of what I am getting.  It shows nicely how in fairly good light, ISO 3200 isn't so bad, but in the lower light areas, it can be awful.  I noticed the high ISO after the first shot so knocked it down to 400.  Fortunately the hopper stayed there long enough for me to make the adjustment.

OOC resized for posting:

ISO 3200

ISO 400

100% Crops of lower light areas

100% Crops of better lit areas

Of course, YMMV.
