Thanks to all of you for your wonderful responses.

While i am convinced on Sony now, I am still deciding the right camera and due to a deal i am getting a77 at just 250 USD more than a57. I am getting tempted about A77 now and wanted to know your thoughts on the same.

i have raised this as a separate thread here http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3289021 as well.

i will look forward to your opinion.

Thanks

Ash

As an entry level photographer you honestly can not go wrong w/ either the a57 or a77. Add a Sony 16-50 2.8 & Tam 70-300 and you can cover almost all of your basic shooting styles. If you change your mind you can always sell most of these items for a small loss.
