I see what you mean.   Yet, if you address the CA/fringing (LaCA & LoCa), it may resolve a bit better.

While that lens is OK, I never cared for it.  I didn't find it suitable for scenics that had a lot of "distance" in them.  (I remember being burned at the stake for saying so, in one or more topics).
