AA Filters

Hi Leicans,

I understand recent Leica digital cameras achieve the 'Leica Look' partly due to the lack of an AA filter over their sensors. Of course, this would be only the more higher res cameras. The other part is the superior lenses.

Anyway, in smaller form cameras, such as 35 mm form or smaller, the only camera I know of which lacks an AA filter is the new Nikon D800e. The reason for these blurring filters is, I'm told, to avoid Moire patterns.

So does the lack of this AA filter mean cameras such as the M9 exhibit this image defect? If so, what do you guys do about that in PP or do you just live with it?
