Milky Way stars with the D800 @ ISO 5000

I just did a blog feature about Dave Morrow and his 'On the Edge of Reality' Night Photography. Dave explains his techniques and provides a free tutorial. He thinks the D800's high ISO "sweet spot" is 5000. All three of these Milky Way photos were taken at ISO 5000, with the Nikon D800, at an exposure of 30 seconds, using a Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8 @ f/2.8, zoomed to 14mm:
