If the still photos look great, then it is not the fault of lens that resulted in poor video.  Still photo has much higher resolution than the video (only 1920x1080), so any defect in the lens will show more prominently on stills.  It is difficult to pinpoint what's causing the poor video quality without seeing the actual footage and what setting you used, but my first guess would be the wrong white balance.  The indoor lighting is always poorer than the outdoor, so don't expect to see the same quality in indoor photo/video.
