What now for Ricoh?
2

It seems that Ricoh has been quiet for a very long time since it has bought up Pentax's camera division. The GXR, though a very honest and versatile system, is losing its shine. Apparently, its technical capability is lagging behind after Fuji or Sony. Is Ricoh going to give up this system, or are they preparing for something great? new lensor combination or even a new body? As a long time user of original GRD, I still find it a very unique camera. Despite the fact that other compact cameras score over GRDs in terms of IQ, I still insist on Ricoh as my choice for snap shots and street shootings. It is pocketable, just feels right in your hand and, it takes nice quality pictures. Though I have a superb Sigma DP2m, I still miss the handling and ease of use with a GRD. I really hope that Ricoh will continues its line of GRD and GXR - camera systems for those who really cares about taking photos.
