If you we're going to buy two lenses for a d800 which 2 would be a must have.

I've toyed with the thought of going FX, thinking with better ISO that it'd help my favorite subject, birds, a lot in low light which is something to consider here for the majority of the fall/winter months.

Anyways I'd just keep my present 300 AFS/4 and TC 1.7 and would likely replace my Sig 50-150 HSM II with .... maybe the Nikon 24-120 F4 or the 70-200 2.8

I am going to test this out someday soon and will borrow a friends D3 and see just how much FX may help.
