P7700 vs. RX100 vs. others...decisions!
Since you are not looking to pocket it (and depending on your comfort with using all the dials and buttons on the P7700) I would say go with the P7700 and save a few bucks. It looks like it is *easier* to configure it to take better pictures if you know how.
The RX100 has two main points, for me at least: 1) Pocketability 2) 1" sensor.
You dont care about 1 but 2 is still of a benefit to you. Ultimately a 1/7" sensor is still good, just not as good as a 1" sensor. The P7700 offers easier control and looks more like an old school film camera.
