Steavenson Falls-3 Yrs after Black Saturday
1

I had the chance to visit Steavenson Falls, Victoria, Australia recently when relatives from overseas came to visit.  I took them on an outing.  The Black Saturday bushfires in Feb 2009 certainly changed the scenery a lot, removing much of the foliage that used to clothe the falls.  The falls still look great though with the good rainfall we've had in recent years.  All taken with the Autumn Hues picture style.

This is the view looking down midway to the top of the falls.  The gumtrees that survived the bushfire now have leaves growing unusually along the whole length of the trunk, due to the branches being lost.  In the distance you can see a whole hillside of trees that didn't survive and are now just dry timber.
