A usable RX100 is actually $671.45, not $650. . .


Because the single worst feature of the RX100 is the freaking manual (or lack thereof).  It's really sad that a company can spend soooo much time on engineering, design, and build, while putting out a manual that's worse than the MSCALC help file.

Last night, I picked up Gary Friedman's guide.  I'm probably 50 pages in, and I feel I've already gotten a return on this investment.


I do not know Gary, and have never purchased anything from the guy.  I saw the link here, and thought I'd pick it up b/c it couldn't be WORSE than the manual.  It's absolutely fantastic.  Some of the default settings on this thing. . . You'll find yourself reading the book thinking "well why the !@#% would they set it to that by default!!??!?"

Anyway, I am already enjoying my camera more.

I wouldn't consider myself a pro or anything, so take that into account.

Edited: Formatting is screwy on the new forum software. . .
