Getting a lot of pixels on wildlife, without having to carry monster gear, is currently a big advantage for m4/3. I'd hate to see them squander it by shooting for big-white-lens bragging rights that no one can reasonably backpack with.

Define "breaking the bank."  That'd be a $1000 lens easily, probably more like $1250 or more.
