Re: Dx format is not dead yet...

Sorry, you are right Nikon D3200 is a Nikon developed sensor and not Sony. Some reports/reviews say D3200 has the best new DX sensor format sensor for Nikon with better quality than D7000. Too bad it is only in a low end body like D3200. That said, a D400 with pro body features and this sensor makes more sense. For workflow though when editing huge quantities of photos bit lower MP like 16MP takes less time to post edit over 24MP. For large group portrait photos or landscapes more MP is ideal or for intended cropping, but for general use 16MP is more than enough. Does not Canon have Raw and sRaw so you could select higher or a lower MP resolution and still get Raw for either choice? Nikon, could you make the software on a 24MP sensor in DX do full res. with Raw at 24MP, and also be able to select lower res. at 16MP for Raw / sRaw (also should help faster fps), for those that take up to a 1000 photos at an event so we have faster workflow in post processing without constant need to upgrade computers to handle more MP, so we choose a bit lower MP resolution when it is enough (or higher at times when we want the extra detail capture) with both Raw choices in the same body.
