All the three comparisons were part of the same image in different frame locations.

I have the 18-55 kit lens and never have encountered such poorly auto-focused images, but I do make sure that the camera has a realistic shot at focusing on something.

Do you think even the center frame is out of focus. I made sure that the center focus points blinked before I took shot.

Do people really spend $700 on a camera so they can take a picture of a duck?
