what DSLR would you recommend for continuous live video usage?

I'm setting up a children's science center that has a microscope to which we've attached a Canon T1i camera.  We put it into live view mode, and feed the video out to a large screen TV for the kids to see.  This runs 4-8 hours a day, for two years now, but it occasionally overheats on hot days (the center is not air conditioned).

We are thinking about replacing the camera, and I'm wondering what recommendations folks have for continuous video use like this.

Anyone have any recommendations or pointers to cameras that might work well in this situation?
