I was hoping for a smaller lighter, (and less expensive) version of the 10-100mm as well. I hope it happens sooner, rather than later.

Yes, an ultra wide lens would be high on my list as well. Due to the smaller sensor, my Sigma 10-20mm that I often use on my  d7000 would be useless as an UWA lens on the V1 with an adapter. Hopefully Nikon will make an UWA lens a high priority.

I find the former interesting given the target market, would seem perfectly suited to a "travel zoom" 10 - 100  or even an 8-45.

Agree, UWA would be nice. Wasn't there a patent on an UWA?

I would die for a an UWA CX lens.  UWA is a perspective that is few and far between and a small, portable version of this would be killer to take around while traveling.
