If you want to properly view or display a print, it needs to have light directed at it.  Museums and galleries do this to make artwork look its best.  If you are just holding the print in your hand and comaring it to the screen the print will always look weak because the screen  (sorry italics won't turn off).

Also the color temperature of the viewing light is important for a print i.e. 2700k (soft white) vs. 5600k (daylight) where soft white can make a print look yellow.
