LX7: DeCew Falls

Hello everyone,

The waterfall photography meetup group that I belong to went to DeCew Falls in St. Catharines Ontario over the weekend.  It was quite a challenging hike to get to the bottom of the gorge and when we got there, conditions weren't the best for photographing the main waterfall.  The sun was streaming right into our faces so we had to wait for some slight cloud cover. Here are some of the photos I took on the excursion and I hope you enjoy them.

The sawmill building at the Morningstar mill powered by DeCew falls.

Downstream from DeCew falls on the Beaversdam creek.

Lower DeCew falls, just a short hike from the main DeCew falls on Beaversdam creek.

This is a side falls at the main DeCew falls site.

DeCew falls with the Morningstar mill building visible in the background. This is a 3 shot HDR tonemapped with SNS HDR since the sunlight was quite strong in our faces, leaving the gorge in shadow and illuminating the mist.
