Re: From my kitchen window!!!!

Nice capture! An illusive animal to be certain.

I have seen large cats only a handful of times in Colorado in the 20+ years living in the mountains, ironically walking along the highway in broad daylight twice along with a handful of brief sightings.  I see tracks in the snow more than animal sightings.

The Bobcat is common in the US where the Lynx is endangered and extremely uncommon in the US living on the Canada/US boarder, Europe, Russian, and northern Asia.  The Lynx were more common in Colorado but have been hunted to extinction in Colorado and all of the USA. The coat of lynx has varied shades of gray and no distinctive patterning.  Bobcats fur have a distinct pattern variegated brown and grey with black spots and black stripes on their tail.

This is a Bobcat.
