First hockey of the season.... BRRRR...

Well it's that time of year again.  Draggin' the gear out to c-c-cold hockey arenas...
Shot a Bantam AAA game - Buffalo Bisons at Guelph Storm.  Good game too actually.  Bisons won 3-2.
Haven't got through all the images yet, but here's a few anyway that I didn't think sucked too bad.
Shot a new camera body today for one period (D600) - first test for hockey at ISO3200+ and seemed to do ok.  Not quite up to the D3S for AF snappiness, but keeper rate wasn't any worse I don't think.  I was the weak link at times, not the body.
Anyway, a few shots...
(1) A little stick flex from across the ice

(2) See #1

(3) Blocker save in tight

(4) So the ref just ups and throws this kid into the other team's players.  So wrong.

(5) Pass this way

(6) Blocker save, no look

(7) Maybe it's just me, but I was taught to stickhandle with the puck on the ice with the blade.  Kids today.

(8) Good thump along the boards

(9) Coach can't figure out why this kid keeps missing the net.  I think I figured it out...

(10) When two big guys collide and neither goes down...

(11) Little guy wheelin' with it

(12) Goalie equipment's usually bigger, no?

Thanks fer lookin'!!
