I agree, the pigment particle ink blocks out much of the internal light reflection from the 'aluminized' interior. More clearly, less incident light penetrates thru the pigment layer, and less of the internally reflected light penetrates that same pigment layer on its way out to your eyes from the media. Printed image appears 'flat'. Image IQ for this media & pigment ink depends more on the Color or B&W tonality and content detail than other media I have used. Dye inks work quite well, they are essentially transparent, greatly reduced light loss going in and returning back out. However, I am disturbed by apparent 'flare' caused the randomly reflected light aluminized interior. YMMV
