Which is better? A Nikon D600 or D800? Mostly using it HANDHELD & with low light.

I think the motion blur argument is like arguing over whether 1,000 angles or 1,001 angels can fit on the head of a pin. Any motion blur you incur will not increase in size with a D800. Let's say you can't avoid motion blur that shows up on a D800, but not a D600 (not enough light for a faster speed). A print from the D800 is still going to be sharper than the print from the D600. The motion blur is smaller than the D600 can resolve, so it degrades the image less than the lower resolution. In practical terms, this would only be a concern at print sizes 20x30" and larger.

A better consideration would be which has features and controls that are closest to the D700. If you are shooting rapidly with two bodies you are better off with their controls and functions being similar. It will be easier to switch back and forth between a D700 and a D800. The D600 is more like a D7000.
