The RFN-4s Wireless Remote is quite good, with two caveats.

1. It is a little funky with CH bracketing bursts. Some say the proper technique will make it work. I'd rather it didn't need special attention. However, I find much less need for bracketing bursts with the D800E than I did with the D700.

2. Some have reported that the antenna breaks off. I haven't had that problem, but I'm not rough with my cameras.

On the positives, it is the only remote I know of that doesn't put a big lump on the flash shoe. The camera unit is small enough that the 10-pin socket holds it in place. It is out of the way enough that you can leave it on the camera.

It works well and has a good range.
