Day out with the FZ150
After months of owning the camera and honestly being a little disappointed, I decided it was time for a real world test and with the promise of some sunny weather I headed out to Coombe Abbey just on the outskirts of Coventry (UK).
I have spent many hours reading up on the camera, now I think I have in my mind the ideal settings for taking pictures with it, I have locked in ISO100, kept the camera in aperture priority mode and tried to shoot as wide open as possible. The quality settings I have dialled in is sharpness +1 and NR -2 although I shot all these in Raw and converted to JPEG using the export command in Lightroom 3.6.
I am pleased with the results, plus the experience of actually using the camera in the real world has made me realise my limitations to allow me to focus and improve.
