Thank you for sharing. It will be interesting to see what the dpreview tests show. But I'm doubful to say the least that they will agree with your results. First the A99 shares the same sensor as the D600 minor some small tweaking by one or the other manufacturer. So performance will be very similar. Second a lot of light is lost in the SLT design. So Sony systematically comes behind in high ISO performance. I very much doubt that the D700 / A99 comparison will change anything.

It looks like 100% crops are posted which put the D800 at an disadvantage. In the real final print a slightly noisier but smaller pixel may not be as obstructive as a slightly less noisy one but bigger.Or vice versa. A more apple to apple comparison would be to resize one crop.
