Olympus really needs to be profitable (sorry for the truth)

Olympus sees FT DSLRs as a big commercial failure. Because it was a big commercial failure.

What Olympus needs to do is come out with an E-M6 and an E-PL6 and an E-PM3 and a VF-4 viewfinder and more m43 lenses, in order to stay ahead of the mirrorless competition in a market in which Olympus is actually a big player and is making a profit. Olympus can't afford to waste R&D on a tiny number of people who would buy an E-7.

Olympus isn't stopping you from shooting with DSLRs. Nikon and Canon both make fine DSLRs. They even have some good lenses. Maybe you should consider a Nikon D600?

I know it sucks to have spent money on now-obsolete FT lenses. I have $3000 worth of those lenses, I feel your pain. But I'm realistic about what to expect from Olympus.
