Olympus 9-18mm IQ: Better than a kit lens?
...wrote that the 9-18 is less sharp. Could be; I've only had mine a short time. However, for the price ($600) it's a great way to get the extra width, plus it's lightweight and small. I had considered the Pany 7-14, but after reading many posts here and elsewhere decided to save some money and focus on portability. Not disappointed. It works adequately for video (for a lens not optimized for video), focuses fast, and the colors are good.
Quite pleased with it - it filled an empty spot in my lens lineup.
