The 35 Ltd and the 17-50 belong to two totally different classes. Personal preference will have a big impact here. If you like the convenience of the 18-135, then the 17-50 may suit you better. I have a Tamron 17-50, 35, several 50s, 70, and 100. The 17-50 is always on my camera and the one to go to most of the time.

My suggestion is to get the Tamron 17-50 and 35mm f/2.4. This combo is still cheaper than either the 35 Ltd or Sigma 17-50.
