How could that be possible? CA does not get "magnified" if you crop the image, assuming you crop to the same size as the cropped sensor has. The CA is a product of the lens, not the sensor. My 70-300 has the same CA on the D300s as on the D800 with 3 times more pixels and 1.5 times larger sensor.
