I was trying this out with my E-M5 plus 12-50mm and it definitely appears to be an effect of the IS trying to keep up with rotational movements around the vertical axis of the camera (yaw). It is much more obvious at wide angles. As others have suggested, you might try for a little more camera support (or at least hold the camera differently so it's not wobbling in this manner) or just simply zoom the lens in a little more.
