For those who feel that raw is extra work, I found that when using Lightroom for post processing that the integration of Camera Raw to the workflow is seamless.  There are no extra steps, just more options, and of course, more data to work with.

I do take issue with an earlier poster who said that Nikon JPEGs are not good for portraiture.  Below are some samples that I shot with a D200 in JPEG.  What do you think of these?
